Terms of Service

1. About these terms
Comnview is run by Ing. Radek Svoboda, trading as Comnview, IČO 02393131, DIČ CZ9307155099, with registered address at Slovanská 1870, 684 01 Slavkov u Brna, Czech Republic, entered in the Trade Register of the Czech Republic. In these terms, “we” and “us” means that operator, and “you” means the person or organisation using Comnview. You can reach us at support@comnview.com.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund Policy, are the agreement between you and us for the use of comnview.com, the Comnview Chrome extension and every link shared through them (together, “Comnview”). By creating an account, sharing a link or leaving a comment, you accept them. If you use Comnview for a company or another organisation, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you may do so.
2. What Comnview does
Comnview lets you share a website, a set of images or a PDF as a link and collect feedback pinned to exact spots on it. You can capture websites with the Chrome extension, including pages running on your own computer, or upload images and PDFs on the website. People you share a link with can view it and comment, with or without an account.
We keep improving Comnview, so features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove something that is part of a plan you pay for, we will tell you in advance.
3. Accounts
- You can use Comnview without an account. What you make is then tied to your browser; signing up later keeps it.
- You create an account with an email sign-in link or with Google. Give us a real email address and keep access to it and to your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- An account is for one person. Team members each need their own account in the team workspace.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. Plans, the free trial and limits
Comnview has a Free plan and paid plans (Starter, Pro and Business). What each plan includes, and its limits, are shown on the pricing page. The limits that apply to a link are those of its owner’s plan.
New accounts get every Pro feature free for 7 days, without a payment card. When the trial ends, the account moves to the Free plan unless you have bought a plan. Nothing you made is deleted: anything beyond the Free limits stays, but some of it is shown or kept only up to the Free limits until you upgrade.
“Unlimited” means fair use: plans are built for normal use by one person or team, not for automated or bulk uploads. If an account’s use is far beyond that, we will contact you before limiting it.
5. Paid plans and payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all our orders: it sells the subscription to you, takes the payment, issues the invoice, handles sales tax and VAT, and processes refunds. Its buyer terms apply to the purchase; these terms apply to your use of Comnview. Questions about a payment can go to us or to paddle.net.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page. Taxes are added or included as shown at checkout, depending on where you are.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your account or through the payment provider. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then moves to Free.
- If a payment fails, the payment provider will try again for a short time. If it still fails, the account moves to Free.
- When you upgrade, the new plan starts straight away; the price difference is handled by the payment provider as shown at checkout.
- We may change prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and it applies from your next billing period. You can cancel before then.
- Business plans are agreed individually and invoiced as agreed.
6. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of paying for a new subscription or an upgrade. The details, including renewals, are in our Refund Policy. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
7. Your content
“Your content” means everything you capture, upload or write in Comnview: pages, screenshots, images, PDFs, comments, drawings and attachments. It stays yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run Comnview for you: to show your links to the people you share them with, to send the notifications you ask for, and to keep backups. This licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in backups that expire in the normal course.
You are responsible for having the right to capture, upload and share your content, including websites, designs and documents made by or for others, and any personal data in them. Only capture pages you are allowed to capture.
Who can open a link: anyone who has a link can open it and comment, unless you protect it with a password. Links are hard to guess, but treat them like any link you send: share them only with people who should see the content.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use Comnview to:
- share anything illegal, or content that infringes someone else’s rights (copyright, trademarks, privacy);
- host malware, phishing pages, or pages that imitate another company or person to deceive;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or share sexual content involving minors or non-consensual intimate images;
- process other people’s personal data without a legal basis to do so;
- get around plan limits, use automated or bulk uploads, or resell Comnview without our written agreement;
- probe, overload or disrupt Comnview, or try to access accounts, links or data that aren’t yours.
We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. To report content, write to support@comnview.com.
9. Reviewers and guests
People you share a link with can comment without an account. Their comments, and the name they type, can be seen by everyone who can open the link. The link’s owner can delete any comment on it; authors can edit and delete their own. If a reviewer leaves an email to be notified of replies, it is used only for that.
10. How long links last, and deleting
Links never expire on any plan: we keep your content until you delete it, or until your account is closed. You can delete any link from your dashboard at any time; its content is then removed from our servers, and from backups as they expire.
If you want your account and everything in it deleted, write to support@comnview.com from the account’s email address.
11. The Chrome extension
The extension captures the page you choose, when you click it, and uploads it to Comnview. It does not read or collect your browsing otherwise. What it can access, and why, is listed in the Privacy Policy.
12. Availability
We work to keep Comnview running and your content safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. There may be maintenance, outages or changes. Keep your own copies of anything you can’t afford to lose.
13. Stopping, suspension and termination
- You can stop using Comnview at any time and ask us to delete your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we warn you first.
- If we close a paid account without it being your fault, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
- If we ever decide to shut Comnview down, we will tell you at least 60 days in advance, so you can export or save your content.
14. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data you could have kept a copy of. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 euros if you use Comnview for free.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
15. If you are a consumer
If you use Comnview as a consumer (not for your business or profession), you have the rights that consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes them away. In the European Union these include the right to withdraw from a contract for a paid plan within 14 days; our Refund Policy gives you a full refund in that time.
If we can’t resolve a complaint together, consumers can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, adr.coi.cz), which handles out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and disputes are decided by the courts of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and may bring a claim where you live.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes by email or on the site at least 30 days before they apply. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Comnview and cancel a paid plan before then; continuing to use it afterwards means you accept the new terms.
